The Lecture Experiment: Quick Update
Assalamu Alaikum,
If you don’t know what “The Lecture Experiment” is, read about it in my previous post here.
Okay, it was a crazy day yesterday and today. I had a lot of distractions and unfortunately things did not go as planned but we plan and Allah plans, and He is the best of planners. It turned out my family had some visitors from Orlando/Canada coming. In addition, I didn’t get to go to the program early. Unfortunately, my sister (who’s currently pregnant) was feeling a little queasy (which is understandable) so she and my brother-in-law picked me up a little late but I was still able to set up and tape the program Alhamdulillah. Also, after the lecture was dinner and I’d gotten invited to go with some friends of mine to play some basketball (the program was over). I ended up staying out a bit late and came home to my guests late as well. Then, after my visitors spent the night, we ended up going to the beach in the morning. After they’d left, I came home and rested for about an hour and had to go late to basketball practice (for an upcoming Muslim tournament held by FAYM). Then, I got home and slept and rested because after a late night out, a morning swimming, and an afternoon running drills and conditioning, I was out like a light. Ironic picture comes now:
…
I awakened several hours later and analyzed my footage, my audio, ate a couple waffles for dinner, and now something’s exporting (don’t worry, it’s just a small part of my whole editing yet to be done). The lecture was only about half hour and I’m trying to think of some ways to stretch out the time (to about 45-60 min.), though I don’t know how far I’ll get with that.
And, InshaAllah, I’m gonna post a more in-depth post about the whole experience and everything later…but for now, I can only leave you with one last ironic picture:
(Sorry it looks kind of gross)
Waslaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
