Tajweed Tangents is a series of videos featuring Br. Wisam Sharieff, the Tajweed teacher from Bayyinah Institute. It’s a compilation of videos of brother Wisam’s insightful rants and tangents during his Tajweed Essentials 101 class in Boca Raton, Florida.
In this episode:
Wisam speaks on the part of Tajweed called “Tahqeeq” which is to give each and every letter its right. It is to recite the Qur’an so that whoever listens can hear each letter. He expands with another hadith on the blessings Allah promises for reciting the Qur’an, and how easily we seem to forget them. He includes a quick, yet heart-wrenching look at the hereafter, and how we must take advantage of our lives now to learn the book of Allah.
